High school mock trial returns

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — The Judiciary of Guam is bringing back mock trial for high school students in January.

Chief Justice Robert Torres Jr. and the Judiciary are “thrilled” to announce the return of the Guam High School Mock Trial Program for the 2024 season.

“The GHSMT Program offers students hands-on experience in legal proceedings while honing critical thinking and teamwork skills,” Torres said in a release issued on Tuesday.

“We’re excited to have the program underway and invite all schools to participate in the 2024 season matches starting next January,” Torres added.

For schools interested in participating, complete the 2024 GHSMT Registration Form and submit a $50 fee by 5 p.m. Dec. 15 by hand delivery or mail to the Judiciary of Guam.

To learn more about mock trial, a Mock Trial Boot Camp is scheduled for Dec. 2 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Judicial Education Center.
