HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — As Guam residents continue the journey toward recovery from Typhoon Mawar, the Federal Emergency Management Agency is opening additional local hire positions to help the community recover and rebuild, the Joint Information Center announced in a press release.
FEMA is looking for local hires in Guam with experience in public assistance site inspection. To apply online and learn more, visit USAjobs.gov and search for FEMA positions in Guam. Please stay tuned for potential future postings as needed.
FEMA local hire positions are temporary full-time positions, with select benefits and overtime as required by operational needs, JIC said in the release. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold U.S. citizenship, and pass a background investigation. The appointment is up to 120 days and may be extended based on operational needs.To provide the opportunities to discuss open positions and answer questions, FEMA will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Guam Museum at 193 Chalan Santo Papa Juan Pablo Dos, Hagåtña, Guam 96910. Please note the date has been rescheduled from Nov. 1 to observe All Souls’ Day. Interested applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes and two forms of identification, and be prepared for the possibility of receiving an on-the-spot interview. Sign language interpretation service will be available at the job fair.
