IN her weekly address during the general meeting of Saipan Rotarians on Tuesday at Crowne Plaza Resort, Club President Irene Holl shared news regarding two recent collaborations with the Rotary Clubs in Japan.
Holl said District 2750 from Tokyo is coordinating school supply donations for Rota. By December, the school supplies will be in the CNMI and ready for distribution to 178 students on Rota.
In addition, Holl said the Rotary Club of Saipan and the Rotary Club of Tokyo West recently agreed to partner for a “student mentoring project” that will take place in 2025 to mark the Rotary Club of Tokyo West’s 75th charter anniversary.
Holl said the details still need to be finalized, and the Rotarians from Japan will soon meet with her to coordinate the mentoring efforts between Saipan and Tokyo.
