(Department of Public Safety) — On Sept. 24, 2023, at approximately 1:54 p.m., DPS 911 dispatch received a call of a reported domestic violence incident at a residence in Koblerville.
Responding officers met with the victim, who had visible injuries to her face and body.
Officers learned from her that on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at about 7:40 p.m., she returned home, and an argument ensued between her and her boyfriend. She said she was punched in the head and then kicked several times on her body. The victim managed to run to the neighbors, and she asked them to call 911.
When the victim returned to her room, she discovered that her passport and clothes were destroyed, and her cell phone was shattered.
The suspect, 35-year-old Jefferson A. Hebron, was arrested for assault and battery, vandalism, and disturbing the peace (domestic violence). CNMI Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo signed an arrest warrant with bail set in the amount of $5,000.
