Green Meadow School will re-establish its school and daycare facilities at the Sister Remedios Building in Chalan Kanoa.

(GMS-MBB) — On Sept. 24, 2023, Green Meadow School planted the seeds for its new home at a place known for its legacy of growing and building our Commonwealth’s future: the Sister Remedios Building in Chalan Kanoa.

GMS will re-establish its school and daycare facilities at the Sister Remedios Building.  GMS announces its relocation plans after entering into a 15-year lease with the Mercedarian Sisters.

Established in 2002 as a non-profit school, GMS is a fully licensed and accredited elementary school and daycare.

GMS school President Glenn Songcuan and his team of dedicated teachers and parents continue the mission to advance our children’s future through  quality teaching in core skills and development.

For their part, the Mercedarian Sisters celebrated their anniversary on Sept. 24 by observing the Feast of Our Lady of Mercy.

The MMB community is excited to welcome GMS as a new partner in education at the Sister Remedios Building.

The Mercedarian Sisters arrived on Saipan on March 4, 1928 and established a mission here. In 1951, the Mercedarian sisters opened Our Lady of Mercy Kindergarten, which is known today as the Sister Remedios Early Childhood Development Center, now located at Mount Carmel School.

MMB and GMS are excited and blessed to continue the legacy of education and growth for our future leaders and citizens at the Sister Remedios Building!
