The governor was in Washington, D.C. earlier this week to meet with President Joe Biden, other U.S. officials, including Secretary Blinken, as well as leaders of countries and jurisdictions that make up the Pacific Islands Forum. In a meeting with Pacific island leaders, President Biden reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to shared regional priorities and deepening cooperation with the region by advancing economic growth, tackling climate crisis, and promoting sustainable development.
