THE Game-Eats Easy remain in third place in the open division of the 2023 Saipan Magalahi Eagles Club Invitational Basketball League after bagging their third win by defeating Priority Care, 100-76, Tuesday at the Gualo Rai basketball court.
Teamwork was the go-to for The Game-Eats Easy as they moved the ball unselfishly led by John Saludez, Ervin Villarin and Joe Sablan to end the first quarter with a five-point advantage.
For their part, Priority Care focused on the dynamic duo of Steve King and Matt Duenas. The strategy gradually worked in their favor as the two combined for 26 points by the end of the second canto to snatch control, 38-36.
But fatigue soon kicked in as Priority Care was held to 13 team points only during the third period while The Game-Eats Easy utilized every player at their disposal.
Preston Basa lit up the scoreboard with a couple of three-pointers while JC Ferrari and Dennis Mendiola supported from within the perimeter to push a double-digit spread, 71-51.
Although King and Duenas were out of the picture during the final quarter, Priority Care managed to regain momentum thanks to Ray Agulto and Minko Taimanao. Unfortunately, it was not enough and they had to settle for defeat at the hands of The Game-Eats Easy, 76-100.
