Shirley’s beat Paire in U14 girls soccer

Paire Football Club’s Windsor Gross and a Shirley’s Football Club player battle for the possession during a U14 girls division game of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2023 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

SHIRLEY’S Football Club defeated Paire FC, 5-2, in the U14 girls division of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2023 on Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville. 

Paire quickly applied offensive pressure, and after four minutes of back-and-forth action, they created an opening for Windsor Gross who connected the opening goal for  a 1-0 lead.

But Shirley’s managed to shift the momentum with Stacy Arriola scoring back-to-back goals at the 10th and 11h minute marks to snatch control at half-time, 2-1. 

In the second half, Paire’s Gross tied the game with her second goal. Shirley’s Arriola retaliated by completing the hat-trick with her third straight goal at the 29th minute mark.  Teammate Alyssa Borlongan then squeezed in two more goals at the 34th and 35th minute marks to secure the win, 5-2. 

Winners, too

Kanoa Football Club  joined the winner’s circle by dominating Kanoa FC 2, 16-0 while Southern United FC powered past Latte FC, 9-2.
