HYUN “Sunny” Son ruled the CNMI Women’s Golf Association’s September monthly tournament on Saturday at Coral Ocean Resort Saipan.
On the front nine, she maintained a steady swing and shot a gross of 39. On the back nine, she closed the course with a gross of 38 for a gross total of 77. With a handicap of 14, her next score was 63.
In second place was Kim Sae Hee, who also had a strong start as she cleared the first nine holes with a gross of 38. However, she struggled on the back nine and ended with a gross of 42 for a gross total of 80. Aided by a handicap of 11, her net score was 69.
Coming in third was Lydia Tan, who shot a gross of 44 on the front nine and 47 on the back for a gross total of 91. With a 20 handicap, her net score was 71.
