In my opinion: What a SHAME that our children and their children may not have the opportunity to benefit from this area being designated a marine monument because of Wespac and the financial interests (cash kickbacks), ego, and greed of a few “Good Old Boys” who are opposed to this project. What a SELFISH SHAME their opposition brings to the future generations of the CNMI!
My vote is “YES” for giving the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument a chance; and I will vote “NO!” to those who opposed it, come election time.
This proposal will bring health to our oceans and give educational, environmental, and economic opportunities to our children in the future.
