BPS Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon Sr., said that anyone who will be found violating the Palau National laws which is mandating dog owners to secure or maintain their dogs safe is facing a fine of $100 or imprisonment for six months or both.Aguon said under the Koror State, all dogs must be registered but National law mandates every pet owner to maintain it safe to prevent their pets from attacking individuals.Aguon said dog owners who will be found violating the ordnance would be charged with nuisance.“If they want to own a dog it has to be registered at the Koror State or it has to be keep safe because if their pet attack person they could be charged with nuisance,”Aguon said.Aguon said last week, there were two reported case of dog bite incidents that happened in Ngerbeched and Medalaii.A man and a woman were both attacked by dogs while walking on the street.The two victims were both bitten in the legs and were both treated at the hospital.
