CUC terminated DCM’s contract last week for its failure to comply with the requirements of its contract with the utilities agency.
Muna said CUC does not agree with the billing statement of the Guam-based contractor.
“From CUC’s standpoint, we can’t confirm” the figure mentioned by DCM, Muna added.
He has yet to determine exactly the “fair amount” that CUC should pay DCM.
Muna said they are waiting for DCM to respond to CUC’s invitation to “sit down and address some standing issues” with its contract.
CUC needs to look at how to move forward and settle with DCM amicably, he added.
CUC is also coordinating with the Attorney General’s Office to iron out other issues with DCM, Muna said.
He did not elaborate.
DCM was unavailable for comments.
