NED Norita topped the Refaluwasch Golf Association’s August Ace of the Month tournament Sunday at the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort.
Norita maintained a steady swing as he completed the east course qualifying round on Aug. 12 with a gross of 74. With a handicap of 5, his net score was 69.
During the second round on Sunday, he slightly struggled but still swung with precision and great placements to finish with a gross of 75 and a net score of 70.
With a net total of 139, Norita claimed the RGA August Ace of the Month title.
The battle for second place ended in a three-way tie between Sherlyn Jones (71, 78), Carl Hocog (72, 77), and Joe Sasamoto Jr. (72, 77), each with a net score of 149.
In the optional plays, Carl Hocog led the Closest to the Pin on hole #4; Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho ruled holes #6 and #15; and Joe Sasamoto Jr. triumphed on hole #11.
