House needs new legal counsel

LB Deputy Director Glenna S.P. Reyes said they will be accepting applications until Aug. 15, Friday.

LB Director Joaquin P. Omar will be activating the bureau’s human resources committee for the selection and review of the applications, Reyes said.

According to the LB, an applicant must have a law degree from an institution accredited by the American Bar Association;  must be a member of good standing of a bar in any U.S. jurisdiction; and preferably have a minimum two years legislative experience.

“I wish Mr. Catlett the best of luck in whatever endeavor he chooses to pursue and thank him for his outstanding performance as legal counsel serving both the Legislative Bureau and members of the House of Representatives,” Reyes said.
