THE Aimeliik Bat Boys won their second consecutive win by outplaying Ready Mix, 21-9, in the 2023 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association Open League on Sunday at the Dandan baseball field.
Aimeliik drew first blood in the top of the very first inning, thanks to the power of Lamarc Iguel and Irvin Saralu, who connected two-run homers each to grasp a 4-0 advantage.
Ready Mix answered with two solo homeruns courtesy of Shakobe R. and Jose Lizama in the bottom half.
Aimeliik then lit up the scoreboard in the top of the second inning as Tyrone Omar hit a solo homerun, Nokki Saralu blasted a three-run homer while Harry Nakamura delivered a two-run homer.
It did not stop there as Omar connected his second consecutive homerun while teammates Roy Norita, Henry Fleming, and Irvin Saralu contributed a homerun each for a total of 13 runs.
Ready Mix squeezed in two runs at their turn at bat, but remained way behind, 4-17.
Despite holding down Aimeliik to four runs, Ready Mix could only add five more runs before going down in defeat, 9-21.
Winners, too
Joining the winner’s circle were the Blue Jays who edged Team Mac, 13-12; Mamaaw, which slipped past Saipal, 23-21; and Kebruka, which outlasted Dat’s It, 29-28.
