DESPITE a sign that says “Please don’t litter,” illegal dumping still occurs at the Chalan Kanoa cemetery, the latest incident of which happened before Christmas, community volunteer Max Aguon said.
Aguon, who helps maintain the cemetery, is once again asking the community’s cooperation in maintaining the cleanliness of the cemetery by disposing their trash properly.
“It’s an eyesore and very disrespectful to our dearly departed loved ones,” Aguon added, referring to the trash at the cemetery.
He noted that a dumpsite has been designated at the cemetery. “So please help keep the area trash-free,” he added.
