Rota ports manager resigns

COMMONWEALTH Ports Authority Rota Ports Manager Sharlene M. Manglona tendered her resignation on Monday.

In her resignation letter to CPA Executive Director Christopher Tenorio, Manglona said her resignation will take effect on Sept. 7, 2023.

She thanked Tenorio “for giving me the opportunity to work with the CPA family. I’ve learned a lot and will treasure the knowledge that I gained throughout the years. It has been a pleasure to serve under you.”

CPA Board Chairwoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds said Manglona has been a part of the management team for many years, and her contributions to CPA cannot be overstated.

“I want to personally thank her for her years of service and dedication to CPA. I wish her all the best and pray for her continued success,” King-Hinds said.

Manglona is the third CPA management official who resigned this year.

Tenorio submitted his resignation to the board in March, but it will be effective Oct. 6. His deputy director, Edward Mendiola, resigned on June 30, after 28 years of serving CPA.
