PUBLIC School System employees who will be part of the transition team must apply for annual leave, according to Education Commissioner Alfred B. Ada, Ed.D.
He issued a memorandum on Wednesday informing all PSS employees about the transition process being conducted by the team of Gov.-elect Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Gov.-elect David M. Apatang.
John “Liling” S. Reyes, the overall chairman of the incoming administration’s transition and inauguration committee, has asked Ada and other department and agency heads for their full cooperation to ensure a smooth transition process.
Reyes also requested Ada to authorize a temporary assignment of PSS employees to assist in the transition process.
In his memorandum, Ada said PSS employees who will serve on the transition team must apply for annual leave if he/she is tasked to do any transition work during regular working hours. “Kindly communicate with and receive approval from your immediate supervisor.”
The transition committee has tasked Patricia Coleman, interim dean, Northern Marianas College-Cooperative Research Extension and Education Services to lead the transition team that will review the education commissioner’s office and the Board of Education.
