More players join PIC-Miller Lite beach volleyball opening games today

“There are more players, particularly female players, this year than last season,” Sosovec told Variety in a phone interview yesterday.

Based on available team rosters, there are 11 volleyball teams that will compete for the championship, with about 88 players.

Some popular personalities of volleyball on island who will play in the event include Rob Epley, Laurie Peterka, Nick Swaim, Bruce Berline, Rob Jordan, JR Gechig, Gin Gridley, and several others.

Sosovec mentioned that some players are yet to settle their fees to the league hence there is a possibility that some names may be dropped from the team rosters.

Some of the teams to watch for this year’s league include Karakuchi, Enyophace, Off Twice, MHS Oakies, MHS 67 Doh-Fins, and MHS Peers.

Four team pairs will grace today’s opening games at the PIC.

MHS Oakies, Off Twice, and Enyophace are among the teams that will compete in the kickoff games.

The first match will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will continue until after 8:30 p.m.

The PIC-Millet Lite 4-Person Beach Volleyball League will run on a two-day a week basis until November 13.
