Six of the schools are on Saipan, two are on Tinian, and one on Rota.
Secondary school principals representative and Kagman High School principal Alfred Ada said Dandan and San Antonio elementary schools will be visited this year by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges for their second self-study reports while Koblerville elementary is preparing for its three-year term visit.
William S. Reyes Elementary and Tinian Elementary are also scheduled for a WASC review.
Four high schools are likewise preparing for the WASC review: Kagman, Saipan Southern, Rota and Tinian Junior and High School.
Last school year, the public schools that were revisited by WASC and whose accreditations were affirmed were Tanapag Elementary, Hopwood Junior High, Oleai Elementary, Garapan Elementary, and Marianas High School.
All of the CNMI’s 20 public schools are accredited by WASC.
