Jr. Nationals beat Kontenders, 72-60

Jr. Nationals beat Kontenders, 72-60.

Marvin Rabauliman of Jr. Nationals was in his top form, firing 27 points on the board.

Rabauliman was able to penetrate  Kontenders’ defense, firing medium range shots and even zeroing in to the basket to make easy lay ups.

Teammate Jericho Cruz backed him up with 17 points to keep Kontenders cagers at bay.

Cruz was the one who initiated the first score for his team, and continued to perform until the end of the game.

Cruz was the only one in his team to make a three-point shot.

Despite Trevor Ogumoro’s 25 points in the game, Kontenders were not able to fend off the rampaging Jr. Nationals.

Kontenders already lagged behind Jr. Nationals during the first period of play by 22 points.

Kontenders made only a total of 24 baskets during the first period, while Jr. Nationals fashioned 46 points.

Moreover, Kontenders seemed to have lost touch of its gameplan when it got into several foul troubles, allowing Jr. Nationals to take advantage of the situation by firing in free throws which often connected to the basket.
