Letter to the Editor: There is a need to discuss abortion on Guam

Much about abortion is obfuscated in language that deceives people into believing it is just another medical procedure or that it is something unfortunate that must be tolerated without further thought.

A tactic of the pro-choice movement is nuanced and persuasive language that can make abortion seem like a complicated issue.

When abortion is described in plain language, though, and people are able to see pictures of a fetus before and after abortion, then it’s not at all difficult to understand “the issues.”

And most people, once faced with a simple reality that is no longer hidden, are then equipped to discuss “the issue” without confusion.
