THE Saipan Chamber of Commerce hosted its 1st Quarter Networking Mixer on March 22, 2023 at the Naked Fish Bar and Grill with special guest speaker, Dave Burger, CPA who shared insights on tax updates and actions that he hopes will better the CNMI tax system and potentially attract investors to the island.
The theme for the mixer was “Sippin’ and Taxes, Tax Trivia Night.” A number of chamber members and future chamber members were in attendance and participated in the Tax Trivia which included 13 tax trivia questions with four trivia teams, Team Tic-Tax, Team Just 2, Team Bulalo, and Team JCM.
Second runner up was Team Bulalo from BCA, LLC., first runner up was Team Tic-Tax, a combination of members from Pacifica Insurance, Angil Designs, and Pacific Subsea, and the first place winner was JCM from Joeten Motors Company.
Congratulations to all the winners of the trivia, thank you for supporting the chamber, and we look forward to having you at the next mixer.
The mixer was a success, said the chamber’s executive director, Kim Camacho. “This was the first mixer of the year and we look forward to about three more mixers this year. Tonight’s event was filled with team building skills and effective communication, networking opportunities, and good vibes. It also allowed us to get in touch with members who aren’t able to make our monthly membership meetings and allowed for businesses to mingle with one another and share the different industries they serve,” she said.
