LILY Muldoon continues to rule the running scene as she claimed first place in the Northern Marianas Athletics’ third installment of the NMI 10KM Women’s Run on Saturday morning at American Memorial Park.
Eighty runners registered for the annual event which was held in celebration of Women’s International Day.
They took on the same course used for the Saipan Marathon which stretches from American Memorial Park at Hyatt Regency Saipan to the turnaround point at the G4S Security office in Oleai on Beach Road and back.
Just like in the two previous years, Muldoon led the competition from start to finish, this time clocking 43:34, which is a new course record.
Muldoon also set the record during the inaugural event in 2021 with a time of 43:42. In 2022, her finish time was 43:59.
In second place this year was Akiko Miller who clocked at 43:42 while Andrei Chavez took third place at 45:53.
Filling the top six list were Dixie Mendenhall, 49:02; Tiana Cabrera, 49:07; and Sarah Ashley, 50:50.
