JAY Muna claimed the Amigos Golf Club’s March Ace of the Month title on Sunday at the Kingfisher Golf Course.
Muna showed consistency throughout the two-day tournament.
On day 1, he shot a gross of 75 which was supported by a handicap of 7 to give him a net score to 68. Then on day 2, he improved his game and ended with a gross of 73 and a net score of 66.
With two-day net total of 134, Muna finished first.
In second place was Ben Jones Jr. who shot a gross of 79 on day 1. With an 11 handicap, his net score was 68. On day 2, he slightly tweaked his swing to end with a gross of 78 and a net of 67 for a net total of 135.
Coming in third was Domino Atalig who, on day 1, shot a gross of 83. With a handicap of 15, his net score was 68. He garnered the same score on day 2 which gave him a net total of 136.
For the optional Par 3 play, Freddy Salavaria led the list on hole #4; Syl Ada reigned on hole #6; Nick Guerrero clinched hole #11; and Sherlyn Jones ruled on hole #15. Each won $130.
The Amigos Golf Club will hold its two-man scramble tournament on April 2, Sunday, at 8:30 a.m. at the Kingfisher Golf Links west course. Pairings will be raffled prior to the game.
