JKPL hosts 1st free ukulele class

(JKPL) — The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library successfully completed a free basic cultural ukulele class at JKPL and its branch, the  Fernando M. Benavente Memorial Library in San Antonio, Saipan, in collaboration with the Bookmobile Outreach Services and the Technology Mobile Express.

Ukulele classes were held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants met for 12 sessions on the following days: Jan. 31, 2023, Feb. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22, 2023 at the Fernando M. Benavente Memorial Library; Feb. 28 and March 1, 8, 9, 2023 at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library in partnership with ukulele instructors Larry Lee and Kui Lee. More than 20 students participated in the cultural ukulele class.

Participants gave the following class reviews:
