THREE Marianas High School graduates have enlisted with the Army National Guard on Guam.
Ydrane Sanje, Jonathan Wolfe and Haley Sangalang, who belong to the MHS Class of 2022, are now enrolled at the University of Guam.
Sanje took the oath of enlistment on April 7, while Wolfe and Sangalang took theirs on April 14. The formal enlistment ceremony was held at the Guam Army National Guard Readiness Center in Barrigada.
The National Guard is a unique component of the nation’s military program. The Guard responds to domestic emergencies, overseas combat missions, counterdrug efforts, and reconstruction missions, among other things.
National Guard soldiers hold civilian jobs or attend college while maintaining their military training part time. The Guard’s primary area of operation is their home state or territory.
