Ada gym renovation almost complete

THE  renovation of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium is almost complete, thanks to the $3 million allotted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The most noticeable improvement  is the basketball court which now has rubber floor tiles and an International Basketball Federation Level 2-certified rim set.

In addition, the court has been newly painted with the CNMI seal as the halfcourt marker which is a great touch that community members appreciate.

The FEMA funds for the repair and improvement of the Oleai Sports Complex, which includes the Ada gym, are administered by the CNMI Public Assistance Office/Governor’s Authorized Representative.

The Ada gym has been used for local basketball games for many years, and now that it has been renovated, more basketball leagues are expected to be organized or revived such as the Bud Cup.
