THE staff members of the Saipan Mayor’s Office underwent CPR training on Wednesday, April 26.
They learned how to administer CPR; the proper way to respond to victims of cardiac arrest and other medical emergencies; and who to call during emergency situations.
The training was conducted by trainers from Priority Care, and is part of a series of training sessions that Saipan Mayor Ramon “RB” Camacho has initiated to equip his staff with life skills and enhance their productivity in the workplace.
“I want to thank the mayor for this opportunity. Whatever knowledge I will learn here will be very helpful not just when I face emergency situations in my work place but anywhere I go, including at home,” said Janice Celis, a supervisor of the home numbering division.
Saipan Dog Control Program Field Supervisor Leemark Deleon Guerrero also expressed his gratitude to the mayor.
“Knowing how to do CPR is a skill I can apply anywhere there is an emergency situation. Thank you, Mayor,” he said.
“It is my goal to ensure that the staff of the Saipan Mayor’s Office will have personal growth and development,” Mayor Camacho said. “Respect for each other and professionalism are very important in the work place,” he added.
