Atkins Kroll awards 2023 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest winners

ATKINS Kroll Saipan on Saturday awarded the nine local winners of the 2023 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest with gift certificates.

Students from all over the world participated in the annual contest to share their artistry and dreams.

Atkins Kroll Sales Manager Kevin Barnes said the competition “encourages our students here on the island to express their creativity on issues that they think matter to them, their family and the whole community.”

This year’s CNMI winners are:

Category 8 years old and under

1st place – Ya’rlis Doram

2nd place –  Ai Nonogaki

3rd place – Sunyul Park

Category 8-11

1st place – Lydia Xian

2nd place –  Aileen Kim

3rd place – En Mei Huang

Category 12-15

1st place – Eunho Park

2nd place –  Alyssa Kim

3rd place – Yu Rong Jiang

Their artworks will be submitted to the 2023 Toyota Dream Car Art international level whose winners will receive $5,000 cash and $10,000 for the school they represent.

Barnes said this year in the CNMI, they received 140 artworks.

“It’s a chance for the kids to express their creativity and imagination while they try to envision solving global issues that need to be addressed,” he added.

In an interview, Eunho Park, who topped Category 12-15, expressed her gratitude to her parents, friends and teachers who helped her conceptualize her artwork.

“It is my goal to raise awareness about keeping our environment clean and beautiful. I am passionate about drawing and I want to use it to send my message,” she said.

Each year, the young artists who participate in the Toyota Dream Car Art competition present remarkable illustrations of their dream cars that have the ability to save our planet from pollution, rid the world of crime, and even provide a cure for Covid-19, to name a few.
