FREDDY Cataluna won the Amigos Golf Club’s February Ace of the Month title at the Kingfisher golf course on Sunday.
Cataluna played well throughout the two-day tournament.
On day-one, Feb. 5, he cleared the east course to lead the competition with a gross of 69. His 4 handicap gave him a net score of 65 which was more than enough to solidify his standing at the top.
On day-two, Feb. 19, the course was a bit tougher due to strong winds but Cataluna still came out on top with a gross of 73 and a net score of 69.
With net total of 134, Cataluna easily captured the February Ace of the Month title.
In the optional play, the Closest to the Pin winners were Freddy Cataluna on hole #3; Eric Mandell, hole #7; Ben Duenas, hole #13; and Ned Norita, hole #17. Each received $155.
The next Amigos qualifier will be held on March 5 followed by the Ace round on March 26. The venue has yet to be determined.
