P-EBT distribution for NAP-recipient children under six 6 years old begins on Feb. 21

(NAP) — The Nutrition Assistance Program in conjunction with the Public School System Child Nutrition Program is announcing the P-EBT distribution for children below six years old and is under the NAP from Aug. 2021 to May 2022.

The P-EBT distribution on Saipan will be issued based on their current regular NAP Case ID No. For example, if the NAP Case ID No. is B100011261, the last digit is one, hence you pick up your benefits on the first day.

The following is the schedule for the P-EBT issuance distribution:

Case Record ID ending with 1 – 3

Feb. 21, 2023, Tuesday

Case Record ID ending with 4 – 7

Feb. 22, 2023, Wednesday

Case Record ID ending with 8 – 0

Feb. 23, 2023, Thursday, Open Day

Benefits will be issued from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily during the scheduled dates of the P-EBT distribution. “Open Day” is the designated date for households who were not able to pick up their benefits on their scheduled date. Households are advised to follow the schedule accordingly.

P-EBT benefits will be issued via drive-thru at the NAP office grounds in As Lito. To ensure a smooth process, households will be required to follow the traffic flow of the drive-thru procedure.

Each eligible child will receive a value of $8.28 per day. Each month that the child was in the program is equivalent to 2.4 days. For example, a child was in the program from August 2021 to May 2022, which is 10 months, that is equivalent to 24 days (2.4 days x 10 months = 24 days) $8.28 x 24 days = $199. The child will receive a total of $199, which is also the maximum benefit.

Identification will be required. Households will be required to provide a government-issued photo identification such as a driver’s license, passport, municipal ID, U.S. permanent resident card, etc. The identity of the parent or legal guardian will be verified against the list of eligible households.

A separate distribution scheduled for Tinian and Rota will be facilitated by the DCCA offices on Tinian and Rota.

For those students who have not yet picked up their P-EBT benefits last Dec. 2022 distribution, they are also welcome to pick-up their benefits during any day of our Feb. 2023 P-EBT drive thru issuance.
