DOMINGO Atalig clinched the Marianas Golf Association’s February Ace of the Month title on Sunday with a net score of 64 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course.
Atalig played well as he focused on his swing and ability to putt with precision to stay ahead of the competition. On the front nine, he made three bogeys only to end with a gross score of 39.
On the back nine, Atalig kept a steady swing as he cleared the first three holes with pars. Although he made two bogeys and a double bogey, he garnered a gross total of 79 to hold the top spot. Sporting a handicap of 15, Atalig earned a net score of 64 to claim the February Ace of the Month title.
In second place was Cal Yamagishi. His gross total was 83, but with a handicap of 17, his net score was 66.
Finishing third was John Terlaje whose gross score was 91, but with a 22 handicap, his net score was 69.
