TANAPAG Middle School and Agape Christian School’s varsity teams collected their second consecutive win by beating their respective opponents in the boys middle school division of the NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Volleyball League on Thursday at the MHS gym.
TMS fought a tough battle against Mount Carmel School but eventually found their groove to secure victory.
In the first set, TMS and MCS went head-to-head, resulting in several lead exchanges. TMS kept their composure and played by their strengths to bag the first set 21-17.
In the second set, TMS had much more confidence and played more aggressively. MCS put up a fight, but were overpowered by TMS, 9-21.
In other games
ACS earned their second win of the season by outlasting Grace Christian Academy in a nail-biting three-set battle, 21-18, 23-25, 15-11.
Also joining the winner’s circle were Francisco M. Sablan Middle School which beat Chacha Oceanview Middle School in three sets, 18-21, 21-17, 15-11; and Saipan Community School which defeated Hopwood Middle School, 23-21, 21-16.
