THE Rotary Club of Saipan led by its president, Wendell Posadas, on Tuesday last week inducted local businessman Wilfredo “Boy” Ching as a new member during the club’s weekly luncheon meeting at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Giovanni’s Restaurant.
Ching, a former Rotarian in Quezon City, Philippines, informed the Saipan Rotarians that he had exchanged banners with the Saipan club when he first arrived on island in the 1990s. At the time, he was an accountant for the late local businessman Tony Pellegrino.
Ching said he and Posadas are Emon Lodge Freemasons.
“He encouraged me to join the Rotary,” Ching said, referring to Posadas. “Thank you for welcoming me. I hope that I could meet your expectations.”
