Another Guam mayor endorses RB Camacho

MELISSA Benavente Savares, mayor of Dededo, Guam, has endorsed the Independent Saipan mayoral candidacy of Ramon “RB” Camacho.

In her endorsement letter, Savares said she has known Camacho since he was an elected municipal council member for Saipan and the Northern Islands.

“During his time as a council member, RB focused on the safety of his island community and sustainable living,” Savares said. “He worked closely with the United States Department of Agriculture-Farm State Agency to assure that farmers/ranchers are given assistance needed to build capacity for their crops and livestock.”

As a member of the Association of Mariana Island Mayors, Vice Mayors & elected Council Members or AMIM, Camacho introduced resolutions to support fisheries, farmers and public safety throughout the Marianas, Savares said.

“I humbly ask for your support for RB Camacho for Saipan mayor,” said the Dededo mayor.

Guam’s Agana Heights Mayor Paul McDonald has also endorsed Camacho’s candidacy.

If elected, Camacho vowed to be a doer. He said he is for sustainable farming and fishing.  His campaign slogan is, “Our new way forward — together!”

The other candidates for Saipan mayor are Democratic Rep. Richard T. Lizama and Republican Rep. Joseph Leepan T. Guerrero.
