SENATOR Edith Deleon Guerrero on Friday donated school supplies to Hopwood Middle School students.
These included school bags, notebooks, water bottles, binders, colorful folders, pencils, highlighters, tape, tape dispensers, erasers, ballpens and filler papers.
School Principal Victorino N. Borja M.Ed, said they were very grateful to the senator, adding that the students would be really excited to receive her donations.
“It’s just an awesome thing when politicians give back to the community, especially our students,” Borja said.
He said he will work with counselors and teachers in identifying the students who need the school supplies the most.
Deleon Guerrero said her office “is winding down” its fiscal year 2022 budget “and we still have little funds left so we decided to purchase some school supplies for the children.”
She said they also donated umbrellas to Koblerville Elementary School students, and she plans to donate school supplies to students of Saipan Southern High School.
