Department of Public Safety acting spokesman PO2 Jason T. Tarkong said the results of the initial investigation showed that the victim, 45-year-old Efren L. Ballesteros of Kannat Tabla, suffered a possible fractured skull.
Tarkong said police authorities discovered several classrooms that had been burglarized.
The victim reported to work at about 6 p.m. on Monday night, and was last seen alive at about 9:15 p.m.
The victim was transported to the Commonwealth Health Center where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Gregory Kotheimer at about 9:35 a.m. on Tuesday for massive facial and head trauma.
An MHS employee found Ballesteros lying face down by a concrete bench under the main entrance hallway at about 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
The victim was employed by the Global Security Agency and has been assigned to MHS since September of this year.
Police are still conducting investigation, Tarkong said.
The victim left behind a wife and two sons — a 12-year-old student of Hopwood and a five-month-old boy who was supposed to be christened on Sunday.
