Letter to the Editor: To Gov. Benigno Fitial

We urged you to drop this embarrassing and insulting lawsuit but you ignored our concerns.

Since the beginning of your proposed lawsuit, we were opposed to it simply because of the accumulated evidence of  our broken down system and the fact that our local control of our immigration and labor policies does not outweigh  Defense and Homeland Security issues.

For the past two decades our local U.S. citizens and residents have become victims of a corrupt system. Our people have to seek employment in our government which is now broke. They have sold or leased their properties so they can move abroad to greener pastures.  Some remain unemployed and are on public assistance simply due to a minimum wage that was suppressed due to the preference for cheap labor.

We agree with the opinion of Senate legal counsel Mike Ernest.

We are hereby demanding a full scale investigation as to who is financing this lawsuit. Voters, taxpayers and the public demand your prompt response on this matter Governor.

Lastly, we are hereby requesting that this embarrassing lawsuit be revoked and considered invalid by our Senate. Our Constitution states that the appointment of any attorney general by the governor “SHALL be authorized with the advise and consent of our Senate,” which ultimately gives the Senate the authority to remove an attorney general who is incompetent and is not serving the interest of our people and our homeland as whole.

We call on Senate President Pete Reyes, Senators Paul Manglona, Felix Mendiola, Frica Pangelinan, Jude Hofschneider, Henry San Nicolas, Luis Crisostimo, Paterno Hocog and Joseph Mendiola to REVOKE and consider your lawsuit against the federal government INVALID, NULL AND VOID for it was not authorized.

If our senators choose not to act on this matter, then we would consider all legal opinions past and present given to our senators who enacted laws based on the legal opinions of Mr. Mike Ernest to be INVALID.

GREGORIO CRUZ JR.
