Last Sunday’s RGA Memorial Classic Golf Tournament was a charity event which aims to help Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School with the upgrade and purchase of new teaching materials.

GTC Principal Charlotte Camacho received portions of the proceeds from RGA.

There was no exact amount of cash projection as of press time, but Camacho said she will inform Variety soon on the detail.

The cash donation from the RGA golf tournament, Camacho mentioned, will go to the purchase of new instructional materials for students and the air conditioning system of GTC.

“We would like to thank RGA for choosing GTC for donating the proceeds for the beneficiaries…” she said, citing Wabol for organizing the sports charity event, and for his active participation in the tournament.

During the banquet, the GTC principal received a pack of Math teaching materials from Matthew Igitol who has one niece and two nephews studying at GTC.

Igitol’s father, Pete Igitol, spoke on his son’s behalf, saying Matthew would like to see GTC students to be hooked in Math for he is a young enthusiast of the subject.

The 2008 RGA Memorial Classic Golf Tournament witnessed the participation of 59 players.
