For the third time the Senate hearing on public lands has been postponed. Now, it’s “until further notice.” Based on the response from your secretary, the hearing was postponed to accommodate the incompetence of the DPL secretary who was unable to produce all documents requested on a timely manner.
We understand that this is not an investigation against DPL but an inquiry into how public lands are maintained, issued, and disposed off and will include numerous complaints of questionable issuances of homesteads and short conveyance claims to certain constituents who are close family members of the secretary of DPL.
The continued postponement of such a hearing and the delay on the part of the DPL secretary to provide documents promptly as requested should automatically raise a RED FLAG that a cover-up scheme is taking place within the Department of Public Lands.
Senator, these are serious issues that warrant your utmost attention and priority.
Therefore we urge you to take immediate and appropriate actions to demand an explanation from DPL Secretary John Del Rosario regarding the delay.
