Chin-Seid tandem gets support of 11 lawmakers, Remengesau

In a press statement , Chin ‘s camp said that  representing 11 eleven Delegates, Floor Leader of the House Sabino Anastacio endorsed Presidential and Vice-presidential candidates Chin and Alan Seid on OTV’s “Straight Talk with Chin/Seid” TV Show. 

After the show one more delegate endorsed the team, making this the largest endorsement from House Officials for a presidential candidate during this election year.  During his endorsement Delegate Anastacio emphasized the importance of voters voting based on the track record, accomplishments and experience of candidates rather than based on idle gossip and negative allegations. In responding to the endorsement the Vice President Chin said “I’m extremely honored and delighted.  I have worked with these delegates for the past three and a half years and I believe they support me based on my work and performance. I am humbled and privileged to have their trust.” In addition, during a baseball celebration held in Ngaraard over the weekend, several national and community leaders publicly endorsed the Chin-Seid team.Chin in an interview also belied reports that Senate President Surangel Whipps Sr. has secretly pledged his allegiance to his opponent Johson Toribiong.He said that the Senate President Whipps is supporting his camp.“I do hope he is supporting me, because if he is not then this is the first time that he will lie to me,” Chin said.He also reiterated that several of Whipps supporters has also pledged their support to his camp.Chin said he also confident that he got the support of President Remengesau.Remengesau however is mum about  who he is supporting.With three days left into the election, Chin said he is confident that the people will vote for a candidate who has the leadership experience.Chin believes that every candidate should not underestimate his voters.“Right now the voters are very smart,” Chin said.He said that voters should not vote for a candidate that makes empty promises.He is however hopeful that voters will support him because of his leadership experience and accomplishments.The Chin camp is getting ready for campaign rallies and meetings before Nov. 4.A meeting in Ngaraard was conducted last night and a Ngarchelong meeting tonight.Chin said he will also fly to Saipan and will be arriving there on Saturday.
