Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that these burglaries happened in Airai and Koror on November 7, 8 and 9.
Aguon said that on November 7, at 7:52 a.m., a burglary and theft incident was reported at the dive shop in Malakal.The caller reported that someone stole a fuel and gas tank of a boat.Aguon said the Airai Elementary School was also burglarized on November 9 and the incident was reported to the police at 4:27 p.m.Two computer speakers were stolen from the school, Aguon said.On November 8, at 11:06 p.m., a man called and reported that someone broke into his residence in Ngerchemai and stole his TV set amounting to $350.Aguon said that there were two other burglary and theft incidents that occurred in Ngerchemai on November 8.Aguon said that at 2 pm , a man called and reported a burglary and theft incident at his residence in Ngerchemai.Aguon said that the victim lost $37 and jewelry.At 7 pm., a man called and reported that his cellphone worth $150 was stolen from his residence in Ngerchemai.Also on November 8 at 12:05 a.m., a male individual reported that his bicycle and money was stolen from his residence in Ngerbeched.On November 9, at 2:47 a.m., a man called and reported that someone broke into his car and stole his car stereo and speakers in Medalaii.Bureau of Public Safety Director Norvert Yano would like to remind the public to secure their valuable items and to record the serial numbers of their computer, digital camera or any other valuable items.Yano advised the public to call police if they noticed any suspicious looking individuals.Yano also urge the public to call CrimeStoppers at 4888477 for any information about the said crimes.
