To be held for second time this year, the yearend tournament according to its organizer, Peter Loyola will be open to any tennis aficionado on the island.
Loyola recalled that when it was launched in the same month last year, the tournament was limited only to its more or less 30 members.
This time, over 30 children and 30 adults, members and non-members are expected to participate in the matches that will be conducted in different categories.
The events will be Junior Doubles and Adult Singles.
For Juniors, the category will be level 1, 2 and 3 and Open, while for Adult, the groupings will be Mens 3.0 and 4.0; and Womens 3.0 and 4.0.
Doubles ranking and partnerships for Juniors will be based on last singles tournament results.
Open junior doubles category will be open to everybody 18 years old and under.
Players may be reclassified and event formats changed at the tournament committee’s discretion: Defaults will be called 15 minutes after scheduled time of play:
Adults category will play 8 game “Pro Sets” and knockout elimination.
Junior Doubles Level 1 will play one set to six games and level 2, 3 and Open Junior will play 8 game “Pro Sets”.
The Tournament Director shall make the final decision regarding enforcement and interpretation of the rules.
