BPS Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that there were three DUI incidents that were reported to the police, four car crashes, three burglaries and five thefts.
Aguon said seven individuals were also arrested over the weekend for drinking in public place and for illegal possession of a controlled substance.Aguon said five young men were arrested on Friday morning for drinking alcohol at the PCC dorm.He said on December 11 at 8:20 p.m., an off duty officer reported that three individuals were caught smoking marijuana in Meyuns.Aguon said two of the men are adults while the other one was juvenile.He said the men were booked and detained for illegal possession of a controlled substance while the juvenile was released later for proper disposition.Aguon said several residents reported that someone broke into their respective residences over the weekend and stole their properties.Items reportedly stolen are mountain bicycles, cell phone, tool box, chain saw, pre-paid electric meter and tire cutter.The bicycles were stolen from residences in Lebuu Street and Meketii, while the Nokia cell phone was stolen from a residence in Ngerias.The tool box was stolen from a residence in Meyuns. The chainsaw was stolen from a residence in Ikesiil while the electric meter was stolen from a house in Airai and the tire cutter at the M-Dock.Aguon said Prevention Task Force will step up the traffic enforcements, juvenile crimes and drinking in public place this holiday season.
