Hard Rock Café celebrates first New Year countdown

Hard Rock Café assistant general manager Aldwin Cullat told the Variety that it will be the first time for Hard Rock Café to hold a New Year countdown and they are planning to introduce more activities in the future.

“As our way of appreciation for the continuous support of our clients through the years, we will be offering one free drink and free appetizers from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on New Year’s Eve,” Cullat said.

He said customers will not only enjoy the food and drinks but presentations and performances from a local band, as well as a masquerade show.

“We invite everyone to drop by and celebrate with us as we welcome 2009,” Cullat said.

To combat the effects of the economic downturn that is hitting all business globally, Cullat said Hard Rock Café is coming up with several promotions and events to continually draw not only tourists but the locals to drop by and enjoy the restaurant’s delicious meals.

“We are aware of the dwindling number of tourists to Saipan especially from Korea and Japan, but although we are doing well, we have to anticipate what happens in the coming years,” he said.

Cullat added that they are trying to touch base with the local market by coming up with more promotions that will benefit the community and other local institutions.

He said they are offering “Happy Hour” discounts from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Cullat said Hard Rock Café recently launched the “Smells Like Teen Spirit Rock Aid Fundraiser.”

“Students can get a flyer at the Hard Rock Café, stamp the name of their school on it and present the flyer when they eat at the Hard Rock Café restaurant,” Cullat said.

He added that 10 percent of student’s purchases will be donated to the school indicated in the flyers.

The promotion runs until Dec. 31, 2009.

“We are inviting community organizations to hold their fundraising events, concerts, stage plays and other activities with us, and we can help you channel a certain percentage of the proceeds to your beneficiaries,” Cullat said.

Hard Rock Café can accommodate up to 400 people.
