This has been Ililau’s second time to be chosen as Best Employee. He was first named Best Employee six years ago.
Ililau, 39, has been with the PPR for nine years now. He is married and has one child.Ililau said he was happy of the recognition but it came as a surprise.“I’m happy but I’m really surprised. I did not expect it because there’s also a lot of hardworking employees at PPR so when they announced my name I was really surprised,”he said.Ililau was chosen employee of the year because of his outstanding performance, high initiative and quality service as cook of PPR.PPR held their Christmas party for the employees on Saturday at the Ngarachamayong Center.Aside from the employee of the year, the management also awarded employees for length of service.The employees who got certificates for ten years of service are Ismael Leong, Leoncio Leong, Nebu Ngiratchekii and Seiji Sone.The employee who was recognized for fifteen years of service is Romeo Maido while Wilfred Siksei, Edwin Arurang, Vivian Tellei and Elbeti Erchar received certificates for 20 years of services.The management also awarded employees who came in their best suits. Dominica Borja and Lucio Isaac, both from Food and Beverages department were judged as Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Gentleman of that evening.PPR’s General Manager Sho Suzuki in his message to the employees said that he is proud of them because of the employees hardwork and dedication.“Thank you for showing your best to deliver a quality service to our costumers,”he said.
