Isa Drive’s northbound from San Vicente all the way to Capital Hill will be coned on Dec. 6, Saturday, for the participants of the Organizers would like to notify all motorists who will drive along the said stretch of the road to be cautious from 6:30 a.m., to 9:30 a.m.
The Pacific Island Club which is hosting the HOM said participating bikers will be riding in packs, along with Department of Public Safety officers and a group of local media and traveling journalists from Korea’s Joongang Daily.
The cones will indicate the lanes they will use.
If motorists can circumvent these portions of Isa Drive during this time, it will prevent heavy traffic congestion and enhance safety for all.
For additional safety measures, PIC asks the public to restrain their dogs in the morning along the route.
The organizers also ask the drivers to please start being careful now as more bicyclists will be seen riding on the roads until Saturday morning.
Among those who will join the tour is Eli Torgeson who won last year’s HOM completing the course in three hours, 20 minutes and 33 seconds.
The prizes waiting for Open Category participants of tour are:
$1,000 cash plus five days and four nights Gold stay for two at Pacific Island Club Saipan for the first place winners in Open Male & Female; $350 cash plus two days and one night stay for two at the PIC Guam for the second place winners, and $250 cash and two days and one night stay at PIC Saipan for the third place winners.
