Joeten, No Zone, Freedom Air

Joeten Motors’ fielders limited Department of Lands and Natural Resources to eight runs up to the last half of the final inning to secure their 14-8 victory.

Veteran pitcher Donald Flores gave up 13 hits but allowed only eight runs.

DLNR’s Greg Reyes, Paul Lisua and Tony Mareham homered in an attempt to close the four-run gap but the Joeten Jets pulled away in the fifth inning with continuous base hits.

They buried DLNR with six-run advantage with two run-scoring hits in the final inning.

Ben Taisacan rampaged in the first and third innings hitting four RBIs for an early lead.

Jj Laniyo and Dung Tenorio added three RBIs, Jason Hayes and Jj Cabrera each hit one RBI.

Freedom Air 25, P & S 15

The game between Freedom Air and P&S raged as both teams went aggressive in the first inning.

However, Freedom Air proved in dire need of the win to defend its position from equally thirsty Joeten and No Zone.

Shane Yamada, Ken Villagomez and Roque Camacho hit run-scoring home runs in the first inning to pound P&S too early in the game.

Yamada homered twice and moved base runners a platform away to the homebase with a single and double.

Ken Villagomez drove in Dennis Cruz thrice in the first and third innings for his three RBIs.

Roy Celis also hit a run-scoring homerun and two double hits.

Legislature 15, Mayor’s Office 11

Also vying for the third position, Legislature outscored Mayor’s Office, 15-11.

Pete Towai limited Mayor’s Office to a one run scored up to the third inning as Legislature batsmen pounded them with 10 runs-scoring basehits sending home nine base runners.

Mayor’s Office almost came from behind as they rallied in the fifth inning but Legislature would not give way by holding them scoreless in the sixth.

Even as Donald Manalo hit a homerun in the seventh inning, the three-run advantage the Legislature had in the fifth inning was a mile away.

Meanwhile, No Zone scattered 22 points as it defeated Public School System in last Saturday’s game for their seventh win.

Ned Norita hit a homerun, had two singles and one double.
