Japan Airlines, Air China, Shanghai Air, Continental, Northwest, and Vladivostok Air will provide the flights.
Japan Airlines, which pulled out from Saipan in Oct. 2005, brought in three charter flights during the Christmas holidays.
On Jan. 4, a JAL 747 aircraft arrived here with over 200 Japanese tourists.
Air China’s Boeing 777, which has a nearly 300-seat capacity, is scheduled to arrive on Jan. 18.
On Jan. 22, Air China’s Boeing 777 will bring in passengers who will stay on island for less than two weeks.
Shanghai Air’s 767 aircraft will arrive on Jan. 25 and its passengers are scheduled to stay in the CNMI for a week or until Feb. 1.
It has another Saipan charter flight scheduled for Jan. 28.
Today, the second of the three charter flights of Vladivostok Air is expected to arrive with nearly 200 Russian tourists.
The airline’s maiden charter flight to CNMI arrived on Dec.28 with 140 passengers.
The third flight from Russia is scheduled to arrive on Jan. 18 this year.
Vladivostok Air uses a TU204 aircraft.
Continental Airlines had two charter flights to Saipan last Jan. 3 using its Boeing 737, which has a 200-seat capacity.
Continental has scheduled another charter flight on Jan. 30 using the same aircraft.
Today, Continental’s Boeing 737 aircraft will arrive on island.
There are two charter flights from Northwest Airlines. The first one arrived on Dec. 31 and the second on Jan. 31.
Northwest will use an A330 aircraft for both flights.
